Sensuous Appeal

Five Sen5es is developed from a modern interpretation of an Asian courtyard building with its private, central area.

The design of the large, decorative water pot is inspired by 3000-year-old Zhou vessels.

To create a sense of generosity of space, the interior showcases an open kitchen for diners to feast their eyes. The private rooms at the right side of the main entrance open out into a central courtyard with a stone pond. It serves dual role as a pre-function area and as a cocktail party space. The rivet effect on the metal panels of the ceiling is an abstract interpretation of thunderclouds in the Chinese mythology. To introduce a Thai connection to the Asian theme, Thai silk is incorporated in the wallcovering and upholstery. At the same time, beautiful cast cement tiles made from volcanic ashes that are rubbed with coconut meat are udes. Each tile is slightly different, and makes a remarkable interior in the Five Sen5es.
