The Huone Events Hotel in Helsinki, Finland has completed its expansion project. Known as Huone 2.0, the development comprises 4 new themed meeting rooms (Magic, Vintage, Rainbow and Electro Room), a park-themed reception and a “Loistava” Lounge (It means “wonderful” in English). This concept recreates the innocent memories of our childhood by establishing a place of fun and happiness.
The entire space is adorned with design elements such as an adult-sized rocking horse, a pair of swing chairs, merry-go-around, Ferris wheel and wooden plane – making it an ideal place to hold events for children and the young at heart.
The furniture and wall panels are made up of light, vivid-coloured materials. There are also spotlights that radiate like stars, accentuating the carnival-like atmosphere.
Inspirational messages such as “Dream. Believe. Imagine” and “Think Big” are featured across various walls in the hotel – encouraging the guests to have a positive outlook in their lives. A tic-tac- toe game motif is displayed on certain sections of the ceiling. The entire set-up intends to instil a child’s “never-give-up” attitude on visitors. A toddler who is learning to walk would always get up again despite falling. Let’s get inspired by this pride-free, innocent self-belief.
