The timeless yet innovative designs of Bottega Veneta’s new home collection was recently presented at Salone Del Mobile 2016 in Milan, impressing design aficinadoes with a range of accessories and furniture that are tailored for luxury living.
Conceived by Tomas Maier, Bottega Veneta Creative Director, the exquisite collection features complementing forms and colours; from the clean lines of the Rudi seating elements to the utterly modern arch tables in a strong and polished combination of bronze and matt oak – every piece showcases Bottega Veneta’s profound affinity and identification with impeccable craftsmanship.
To start off, a collaboration between Bottega Veneta and Osanna Visconti di Modrone, the Italian designer, produced distinctive and singularly individualistic designs: a set of bronze tables with a surface that pays tribute to the house’s signature intrecciato motif enriches the collection.
Other larger luxurious pieces include sofas and tables that are joined by a chest of drawers entirely sheathed in suede or leather with a top in marble or wood. They are further enhanced with discreet yet outstanding bronze handles which feature the iconic intrecciato pattern on the sides. To add finishing touches to Bottega Veneta’s elegant ambience, a series of sterling silver collectible boxes, each bearing the name of a planet and embellished with semi-precious stones, along with a hand painted porcelain dining service blends in perfectly with Bottega Veneta’s iconic style.
The Home Collection has organically evolved from Tomas Maier’s first design, a single bench which he created alongside Bottega Veneta’s skilled artisans in 2006. Since then the house has developed the home design and presented full collections of furniture and home accessories, for some of which Bottega Veneta has collaborated with esteemed manufacturers who hold precious expertise and know-how such as Murano artisans for glassware, Koenigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin for porcelain and Poltrona Frau for seating. Bottega Veneta now holds a dedicated furniture Atelier in
Vicenza, in the Veneto region of Italy where it is from.
